Nothing But Jesus

We’ve all heard the saying “Give me Jesus” … today this is my prayer over my life and over my family – Give us Jesus!

There is a deal of chaos surrounding our day to day. Looking closely we can see pain, deceit, hurt and so much more, the world is growing colder and colder. The word of God states “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” Matthew 24:12. Truthfully, these are the times when our greatest desire should be Jesus.

As caretakers and family molders, now more than ever we must hang on to Jesus the author and consumer of our faith. May his desires be our desires; in the words of the Christian music group Jesus Culture “Jesus only did what he saw you do, He would only say what he heard you speak, He would only move when he felt you lead Following your heart, following your spirit. How could I expect to walk without you? When every move that Jesus made was in surrender. I will not begin to live without you, For you only are worthy, you are always good”

Scripture states...” For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16. As we can see, everything is created through Him and for Him. When I say give me Jesus I mean it! give me the things the Lord has prepared for me and my family.

Give me Jesus! give me love, peace, joy, understanding, wisdom, and a quiet and humble spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

God, today I ask you to help us walk in your truth. We’re not ashamed to say we need you! our families need you, our generation needs you. Forgive us if we’ve strayed away, forgive us if we’re focused more on our worries than you. Thank you God because you’re never far; your arms are always stretched out to help and guide us. Thank you for your immense love that follows us at every waking breath. May our deepest desire be to do your will here on earth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessings!
