Walking By Faith: Living In Truth

Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:5

Oh how important it is in today’s time to walk fervently in the Lord. We are living in the times as the book of Isiah woes on “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20. Truly the only good one is The Lord our God.

This is my constant prayer in many different aspects of life. How easy can it be to lean on my own understanding, but asking God to guide me in His truth, staying true to His word, and having a relationship with Him (living in truth) makes the difference.

It is only a lie of those who say it is impossible as parents to establish the word of God in our household. Establishing the truth is one of the best legacies we can leave to our children. I will never tire of repeating this verse “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 because I am living proof.

The things that run through my mind; if there’s one thing I want my children to see and experience is the love of God. Experience the power of His love, of living, walking, breathing, and thinking of His truth. In moments when Mom and Dad can’t help, they will run to The one and only. I like for them to see the real raw moments in this path, although everything may not be the color of roses as we say, God is real and true.

Living in truth equals to living in freedom “So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.” John 8:36. There’s nothing like walking in the truth the Lord created us to do so.

Lord, my prayer today is for you to help us live in your truth. Help us to continue to walk by faith, in our most frustrating moments let us remember you and your word. Bless those who are reading, bless their household, and may you continue to protect them like only you know how. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
