He Watches Over You

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭29‬, ‭31‬ ‭NIV‬‬

You are worth more than many sparrows…. These are the words resonating within me this morning. Of even the most meager ones the Lord watches over, how much more you and I whom are His lineage, His chosen! Yes, He saw us and loved us first.

Today’s blog I’ll like to dedicate to any friend who may feel God is distant, that’s feeling alone, or not taken care of. THIS IS THE MOMENT. This is the moment I want you to know God is closer than ever. If there’s anything you can find the strength to do today is to talk to God. Truly tell Him how you’re feeling, and dive into some psalms or proverbs.

“The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.” Psalms‬ ‭121‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It is said that while the people of Israel were going through the desert; the sun shines so bright it causes heat stroke, dehydration, and so many other things but because God was with them….

It is said that while the people of Israel were going through the desert: the moon was so close that it caused extreme cold weather that included frost bite and even death in both instances! But because God was with them…

The good almighty God watches over us day and night. He is actively watching and caring for us: “Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭34‬ ‭NIV‬‬
He’s actively interceding for His humanity. For the ones whose sins He’s covered and transgressions’ forgiven.

Lord , today I pray for peace and comfort. May we know you are closer than ever. The adversary doesn’t want us to know You are there but YOU ARE THERE. I ask that your love overwhelms us today. Help us to be faithful to you and your word no matter how we may feel. Help those who are in need today, give strength to the weak, help us guide and stand up those who have fallen. Help us to be more like you in Jesus’ name. Amen!
