Psalm 103:2–4: “Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion
I believe one of the toughest things is to live a life fill with shame and regrets. Existing with the what ifs. The constant reminding of the past. I think it is something that holds us completely back. It’s baggage that weighs us down and makes every step harder. The past can’t be changed. We gain nothing by hallowing in shame. God is a forgiving father. He is a loving and restoring God. He sees beyond our mistakes.
Dr. Brené Brown: “Shame is destructive, eroding our courage and fueling disengagement”.
God wants to heal us completely. Our loving father wants his beloved children to embrace the freedom we have access to in him. Living a life consumed by shame and regrets is a recipe for disaster. It will destroy us from the inside and limit what God wants to do in our lives and I know he wants to do great things in our life.
Psalm 139:16
New King James Version
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written,The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
God has written great things about you and I. The devil knows that and fear it. Don’t allow him to keep you from Gods great and amazing plans he has for you. Keep living and keep believing.
The past is behind. The future in God is bright.
