Spirit Walk

Galatians 5:16-26

Walking in the Spirit

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

We need more of Jesus in our life. We need him to be our everything. God is asking for complete Surrender. We are called to walk in the spirit. To deny ourselves. It is not easy; it is a nonstop battle. We live for him, it is not about us. It’s all about Jesus! A life that exhort and magnify his name each day.

Matthew 26

41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

We need to be watchful and in constant prayer. We need to be in on alert. There must be a determination in us to walk in Holiness. Determination to walk in the fruits of the spirit. To shine our light and take up our cross each day. Understanding that through his work in us others will come to the kingdom. Realizing that we are here to have an impact.

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Persist and hold onto our faith. The devil is out there, looking to devour us. To devour our families, marriages, businesses, friendship. Our eyes should be on Jesus, focus completely on him. We need to submit to him, be lead by him, and filled of his spirit. It is the only way we will be able to stand firm on the bad day. He is with us as a powerful giant.

Jeremiah 20:11

But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
