May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
Greetings! On this lovely and cold day; I’d like to share with you one of my favorite bible verses. When the psalmist speaks about the words of his mouth and meditation of his heart I find this to be very intimate with the Lord.
This new year as many others do, one of my desires or goals would be to be even more intimate with the Lord. How important to me is it to do the will of the father here on earth, how can we do that without being close to Him? To be Christ centered is to have Him in our thoughts and In our hearts.
When we are close to God, all things align to His wanting. From past experiences, when i am close to God all things work for my good. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 in every sense of the sentence, the many challenges we had this past year with our health, or family, or finances no matter the turns that were taken, we obtained our victory.
Let this year be one of growth of getting closer to the Lord. If there’s anything we can accomplish this coming year it is to become more intimate with the Lord. Not only seeking Him at our local church, but in our everyday. The closer we are to His spirit, we are better guided, with a sounder mind. We can be better husbands or wifes, friends, children. A stronger household is the one built upon the rock. Cheers a new year closer to God.
Blessings!
