Finding Strength in Psalms: Trust and Refreshment

“MAY THE Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high [and defend you]; Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and strengthen you from Zion;” Psalm‬ ‭20‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Something I’ve seen very much throughout the book of Psalms are prayers of surrender and trust towards God and overcoming any obstacles or the enemy; not only for the writer himself but also for those whom are his chiefs, or those whom are eminent.

In today’s time I’d like to apply these words to a friend, to a neighbor, to a brother or sister in Christ, to you. No doubt in what the word of God says, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭21‬ so what are we professing, life or death?. I speak refreshment over this reader, when we talk about refreshment we mean this to the mind and to the body. Refreshment in our thinking, in our feelings, in our expression. All does not have to go wrong in one day. There is great joy and blessings for those who wait on the Lord.

In any situation or circumstance you may find yourself defenseless I ask the Lord be your shield and your support. Sometimes we simply do not know how to navigate because we’ve never encountered such situation or sometimes we’ve been through it so much we just don’t feel like we can continue standing; may you feel the all the sudden of our almighty savior.

On this Thursday we ask you can reflect on this words, really take a moment with God. After reading or anytime after that; let’s reflect and ask God to help us. There are so many moving pieces, including in our families but the Lord our God with show us the way if we pray and believe.

Blessings!
