Jesus take your place in me

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” 1 Corinthians 6:19

This weeks’ intentions are to spend more time in the presence of God. Jesus, take your place in me!

As the bible verse states above, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, in my way of thinking, I must spend time with whom is within me to make room. Jesus, take your place in me. As Paul once instructed to do a self examination of oneself; i say the same today. Am I truly letting God take His place? my life is not my own, am I making space for my creator?

Am I filling myself with my day to day, my selfish thoughts? am I so worried about myself that I am forgetting to leave room for the Holy Spirit? When it’s our time to serve, are we doing it for self fulfillment or for the glory of God? these are all questions we’d like to reflect on this week.

In the book of Luke chapter ten we find Jesus was passing by a village and stopped by a woman named Martha’s house . Her sister Mary was not to let this opportunity pass by her, she sat at the feet of the Master while Marta was only worried about all the preparations that had to be be done. In her frustration she asked for help only to find Jesus not siding with her. Advising her that there is nothing better than being before His presence, something that could never have been taken away from Mary. (Read Luke 10:38 and on)

May we be a reflection of Mary this week; let us make room to have Jesus take His place in us. I pray for a week of abundance in the presence of the Lord. May we be rich of his goodness and mercy, no matter the turmoil going on around us! Help us Lord to seek your face in spirit and in truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessings!
