“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper— it only leads to harm.” Psalms 37:7-8 NLT
Today I am so very grateful for the grace of God and his new mercies! Opening up the word today these verses above spoke profoundly to me. Be still in the presence of the Lord…. The Lord is calling us this week to remain in His presence.
Meditating in the word of God this past week it came to me that in every single moment I like to jump in and resolve without consulting the Most High, of course there are many times where we are to have the spirit of discernment and take action but when we are at a crossroads where we can’t do anything we must just be still IN HIS PRESENCE.
I pray for a week of understanding and peace. What is it like to be still? When there is no answer, God is the answer. May we have a week of medication in His word, I ask the Lord his help to practice what that second verse says; to no loose our temper or turn to anger, to not cause any harm.
Help us Lord to be men and women of God according to your word, we are not perfect but that is our goal. Help us to remember your word day in and out, doers of your word and in your saving grace help us to be holy as you are. Help us to be an example for somebody this week, in our homes, our jobs, at church, in our schools. Thank you again for grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Blessings!
