Stronger Together

Our famous bible verse today reads “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13. Today’s topic, as always, is about our Lord, but also about ourselves.

Maintaining a family is one of the most challenging things to do on earth, especially now in end times. Disrespect is a norm; the lack of love and compassion for others has increased, and humanity has become more selfish. The word of God says “Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:12.

There are many roles to play when raising a family and many hats to put on, but one thing’s for sure: with God, we are stronger and will make it through. Despite the world being how it is, we are 100% capable of raising a Christ-centered family with the Help of His Spirit.

When we “In all our ways acknowledge him,..” Prov. 3:6, then something happens in our favor. We can make it through because of Christ. If there’s something that can go without saying, it is that there is no handbook to be the perfect parent or raise the perfect family; there are no magical words we can say, no tricks either. The best legacy we can leave our children is the word of God.

When we acknowledge Christ, He draws near to us! The more we do, the more clarity He will give us to navigate through situations. When we acknowledge Him in our ways, it’s a way of demonstrating that we live in surrender to Him. He left us His Holy Spirit to guide us to all truth and to counsel us. The verse finishes saying “and he will make straight your paths.” Prov. 3:6. When we are struggling, sometimes we run to the wrong people; it is better to run to Christ, who can put the correct people in our path. Let us remember we are stronger in Christ, and it is because of Him that we are able to pull through day by day.

It is our prayer today as parents that He may continue to guide us in all that we do. May we train ourselves to acknowledge Him in all of our ways. Help us to guide ours into Your word. Help us, Lord, in these times! You are the only one who can help us straighten our path. Help us to parent with love; may we be so full of You that Your peace is transferred unto our children. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Blessings!
