Who I Am In Christ

“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].” Romans 12:2
‭‭

One of the greatest issue in this world is that people don’t know who they are and pretend to be someone else seeking their Identity. They are not grounded which is what causes for people to “go with the flow”. They don’t have a clear opinion of themselves and only want to attract what others have. Not knowing that God has given (to those who are in His kingdom) their very own identity causing us as children of God to have a healthy self esteem. Having a healthy self esteem is equivalent to a humble person. What does it mean to be humble? It means; being conscious of who you are without having a higher conception.“For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service].” Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭

We are not called to have low self esteem, low self esteem comes with thinking you are worth nothing; believing that you aren’t able to fufill anything that is assigned to you, thinking you are Incapable. These thoughts can cause a lot of damage spiritually and emotionally.

What is God’s opinion about me? This is something as a Christian I should know. He loved us, saved us, redeemed us, made us capable. I am able to become a blessing to others.

When we are equipped with God all insecurities and negativity goes away!

When Daniel was accused in the kingdom, he did not just stay there accepting all negative things. He did not sit in a corner and cry. Because he knew God was with him. Just as Daniel, God is with us and we can do all things through him.

I should not be scared, if the Lord send me; surely I will make it!!!

Low self esteem does not let you reach your potential, it stops you from going where the Lord destined for you. It stop you from reaching higher places. What do to do maintain a healthy esteem? we must put God first in our lives and be truly led by the Holy Spirit who is the only one that can make us feel whole. If we feel empty, or without identity, it only means we need to be filled with our creator. We need to put in order any conflicts. Only when i can see myself how the Lord sees me, and see others as he sees him, i will always have this conflict.

Before knowing Christ, we would blame our parents and everyone that hurt us. But now knowing Christ we can understand the word knowing that He made us, and not ourselves.  “Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. [Eph 2:10]” Psalms 100:3
‭‭This is what gives us confidence. To know who we are in God.
