The Favor Of God Rest On You

“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17

When we talk about favor, we generally attribute it to the materialistic, which has something to do with the word, but it all begins in the spiritual world first. What I am conquering spiritually, I will in turn receive the favor of God. There is no magic trick to this, as it is already, we are saved by grace; but it is all about doing the will of God, seeking first His kingdom, praying, fasting, and a big one; giving! Extending the hand to others in need, giving grace to others. The Lord has ministered to me in a powerful way about this. Sometimes we are way too quick to judge others and their shortcomings (key word). We ALL have them. Give grace where others are struggling. I might not be struggling there, but I am struggling in other areas. “…do to others what you would have them do to you…” Matthew 7:12

Back to the topic—one word that catches my attention here is rest. If we look up one of the definitions, we can see it is “place hope, trust, or confidence on or in.” What a blessing to have the favor of God rest upon us! May our hands be like they are His, may our feet be like they are His, may our mouths be like they are His. Use us as a vessel to bless others by the grace of God.

When His favor rests upon us, doors open even when we do not ask. Because His favor is upon us, grace also follows. When we are favored, God can be seen through us; this is for all His children. Back in the day, the power of God, the voice of God, was only meant for certain people to handle and to deliver, but that has all changed by the grace of God. This too is God’s plan for us. He sent His Son to be just like us in flesh and blood so that we can walk in favor.

These words are for anyone who does not believe favor belongs to them. But if we are faithful, if we are seeking His truth, allowing the kingdom of God to move through us, there is favor. We declare the favor of God upon each reader, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessings!
