2026 Faith

“Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].” Hebrews 11:1

When we talk about FAITH, we’re not talking about just having this “feeling” or just being optimistic. Faith is not faking that everything is well. When we talk about faith, we’re talking about the assurance, the certainty, no matter what our physical eyes are seeing, that the Lord is working. He is turning it into good. When we speak on our 2026 faith, we are trusting the Lord, even if the only signal of life or proof is the word of God.

When we have faith, we are not trusting in the circumstances; we are trusting in God! It is not like we are ignoring reality; we’re not crazy in the sense that we can’t see the problem or the issue, the diagnosis, the late bill, the empty fridge, the failed attempt. All we know is that we will not be governed by the circumstance; that is our 2026 faith. We are not walking by sight but by FAITH, although my circumstance is saying left, left, left. My faith and the word of God are saying another thing. Faith is having the correct attitude, not responding with crazy emotion to the situation but with faith.

When talking about our 2026 faith, we’re talking about surrender. The more faith we have, the closer we are to God. When we have faith, we are not leaning on our own understanding; my own understanding might just be saying it is not possible, but the Lord will come through. I went through a moment in my young years where I took another step upon faith. I feel like our faith must be used every day, but the Holy Spirit stopped me one day. I would say have faith, but my mind is saying different. I would dwell on the what ifs and the what nots; that is not faith. Every part of me has to believe what I am saying.

This is our desire in this new year: to have increased faith and trust in God!

Lord, increase our faith. Help us to trust in You even when we don’t understand. Teach us, oh Lord, to walk by faith and not by sight, with strength to those who are tired, and help us to wait on You in 2026. Remind us that You are faithful even when we are weak; You are our hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessings!
