Victory Guaranteed

Scripture: Joshua 1:1–9

It’s a new day. A new week. A new opportunity for God to be glorified in our lives.

As we move forward into a new season, one truth remains unshaken: God has been good.

Looking back over our lives—over the past weeks, months, and years—we can see moments of joy, pain, disappointment, and uncertainty. There were times we thought we would not make it, but by God’s mercy, we are still standing.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning.”

Lamentations 3:22–23

The future may feel unknown, but God has not called us to walk alone. He goes before us and guides every step. When we trust Him fully and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He promises to direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5–6).

Joshua faced a defining moment when God called him to lead after the death of Moses. The responsibility was overwhelming, yet God gave him a powerful promise: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Victory was not based on Joshua’s strength, but on God’s presence and Joshua’s obedience to His Word.

Obstacles did not cancel God’s promise. Rivers, walls, and battles stood ahead, but God had already declared victory. The same is true for us today. Challenges may come, but if God is for us, nothing can stand against us (Romans 8:31).

When we choose God as our foundation and follow His direction, victory is not uncertain—it is guaranteed.
