Jesus The Why & The Because

“Everything was created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16

Lately I’ve been thinking about something simple, but it’s been sitting heavy on my heart. We all spend our lives looking for a reason trying to understand why we’re here. Why we go through what we go through, why we keep pushing, even when we’re tired and I realized something:

Jesus is the why & the because.

Not just as a cute saying but for real! Because when I look back at my life, there are moments I honestly can’t explain without God, there were seasons where I should’ve quit, seasons where I felt stuck, seasons where I felt like I had no strength left, and I couldn’t even describe what was wrong…I just knew I was tired but somehow, I kept going. Not because I was so strong or because I had it all figured or because everything was perfect but because Jesus! because He held me together in moments I didn’t even realize I was breaking, Jesus is the why behind my growth, the why that I tried again, the why of me wanting to heal, the why of me trying to become a better woman, not just on the outside but in my spirit.

And Jesus is also the because behind the things people don’t see, the prayers that never nobody heard, the tears that nobody never saw or when the moments I didn’t feel like going on but I did anyway, Because Jesus. When it comes to my family I can say it even louder I don’t want a family that only looks good, I want a family that’s covered! a home filled with peace, not chaos, a love that stays, may our legacy be Jesus the author and consumer of our faith.

Jesus is the reason we exist, the reason we keep going. Jesus is our why and Jesus is our because.

Blessings!
