I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
How many times have we found ourselves worrying about certain situations over and over, it is a humane response but can quickly turn into unbelief. This is when we should stop ourselves and truly put it all in the hands of the Lord.
This week we’d like to practice no worrying, leaving the things that are out of our control in His hands. What can we do when there’s nothing else we can do? … “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;….” Psalm 46:10
There was an instance where my husband and I were going through some tough waters, awaiting results. One thing I can tell you I was very much worrying, upset, scared, I felt everything, but I’d still say I’m trusting in God. My husband was very still and happy (as always).
In the midst of everything I did the only thing I knew to do and that was pray and believe, at this point there’s nothing else I could’ve done. And after some months we received our results, our victory! I felt so many emotions in that moment, mainly I had to ask for forgiveness because writing made me feel like I doubted God whom had it all under control since the beginning!
“ Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”” John 11:40
We’d like to remind someone to believe this week to see the glory of God in their household, in their family, in their lives! How can we start not worrying? Letting go of the doubtful thoughts, of the what if’s, don’t let it play in your mind. Deep dive into the word of God! My youth leader always told me an empty mind is the devils playground, keep yourself occupied with the things above. Read a chapter of the Bible, a book, listen to music, listen to a podcast. Do some extra curriculars.
God, I pray we discipline ourselves to not worry, to solely trust in You, in Your word, in the things from above. Let us trust you wholeheartedly, with our minds and all of our being. That when things aren’t going our way we can let you lead! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Blessings!
