Every day, we encounter people who are hurting. Some are battling addiction. Others are weighed down by depression, anxiety, loneliness, grief, or overwhelming circumstances. Many are silently crying out for hope.

As believers, God has called us to be the light that shines into their darkness.

The Bible reminds us that we are Christ’s ambassadors, called to reconcile people to God (2 Corinthians 5:20). This means that wherever we go, we carry the hope of the gospel.

In Acts of the Apostles 3:6, Peter looked at the lame man and said:

“Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” (KJV)

Peter didn’t have money to offer, but he knew he possessed something far greater—the power of Jesus Christ. What Peter carried transformed one man’s life. That miracle also impacted countless others who witnessed God’s power and brought glory to Him.

Don’t underestimate what God has placed inside of you.

You may not have wealth or influence, but you have something this world desperately needs. You have the love of Christ. You have the Word of God. You have compassion. You have faith. You have a testimony. You have the Holy Spirit living within you.

A word of encouragement may lift someone out of despair. A prayer may strengthen a weary heart. A simple invitation to church may begin a journey that transforms an entire family for generations.

Never believe the lie that you have nothing to offer.

What God has placed in you can change a life.

And when one life is changed, an entire family can be transformed. One person coming to Christ can influence children, grandchildren, friends, and future generations. The blessing God works through you today may echo for years to come.

This week, ask the Lord to show you who needs hope. Be ready to speak life. Be ready to pray. Be ready to share Jesus.

You have something to give.

Prayer

Father, thank You for placing Your Spirit within me. Help me never to underestimate what You can do through an ordinary life surrendered to You. Open my eyes to those who are hurting, and give me boldness to speak words of hope, pray with compassion, and point others to Jesus. Use me to be a blessing that transforms lives and impacts generations for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen
